EMDR Therapy Online

What is EMDR?

When we experience overwhelming or traumatic events, our brain can sometimes become "stuck," leaving memories feeling as vivid and emotionally intense as when they first occurred.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process and recover from distressing or traumatic experiences.

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Childhood and complex trauma

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Grief and loss

  • Phobias

  • Low self-esteem linked to past experiences

  • Distressing life events e.g., accidents, medical trauma, assault, abuse, workplace trauma, and birth trauma

If you're unsure whether EMDR is appropriate for your situation, this can be discussed during your initial appointment.

What can EMDR help with?

Online EMDR follows the same structured eight-phase approach as in-person therapy. EMDR helps the brain reprocess memories using bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements on your screen, alternating tapping, or audio tones through headphones) while safely focusing on aspects of the memory.
